The number of wage earners increased in November 2024

Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has published the statistics of wage earners for November 2024. According to the data, the total number of wage earners in the sectors of industry, construction, and trade-services increased by 2.9% compared to the same month of the previous year. The number of wage earners in November 2024 was 15,741,665, whereas it was 15,301,629 in the same month of the previous year. When we look at the details of wage earners, in November 2024, the number of wage earners decreased by 0.7% in the industrial sector, increased by 6.3% in the construction sector, and increased by 4.3% in the trade-services sector compared to the previous year. In terms of the total number of wage earners in the sectors of industry, construction, and trade-services, there was a 0.3% increase in November 2024 compared to the previous month. Looking at the details of wage earners, in November 2024, the number of wage earners remained the same in the industrial sector, increased by 0.4% in the construction sector, and increased by 0.5% in the trade-services sector.
