FBI Returns Seized Materials from Mar-a-Lago Raid to Trump in 2022

According to The Hill, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung stated, 'The FBI is returning the materials seized from the President during unlawful and illegal raids. We are picking up the boxes today and loading them onto Air Force One.' Trump, who made a statement on his Truth Social account, said that the contents of the boxes brought to Florida are planned to be part of the Presidential Library. Describing the FBI raid as 'an attack on a political opponent that clearly has not been very effective,' Trump used the phrase 'Justice will be restored in our country.' The FBI conducted a search in August 2022 at Trump's Florida estate Mar-a-Lago by court order. Investigating allegations that Trump misused classified documents and obstructed officials' efforts to retrieve them, the FBI seized 33 boxes containing various materials from the estate.
